Sonny Lubick Steakhouse raises $2,500 to benefit RAMSTRONG
Fort Collins, Colo., November 7, 2008 – As last week marked the opening of Sonny Lubick Steakhouse, the restaurant kicked off the celebration by raising nearly $2,500 to benefit RAMSTRONG.
Before opening to the public last Friday, Sonny Lubick Steakhouse hosted a three-night string of invite-only events for friends, family, investors and other “MVPs” including community members, businesses and media to kick-off the highly anticipated opening. All tips, and proceeds from bar and dessert sales from the events, along with donations from guests, were donated to RAMSTRONG, fighting cancer in Ram Country.
RAMSTRONG was established in 2006 when cancer struck the Lubick family, and has recently joined forces with the Poudre Valley Hospital Foundation so that funds raised will stay in the local community.
The RAMSTRONG provides financial assistance for local cancer survivors and their families to help them with basic needs such as mortgage/rent payments, car payments and unforeseen auto repairs, monthly bills for utilities and groceries, medical insurance premiums and co-pays, among other expenses. RAMSTRONG’s goal is to inspire and empower people to live with, through and beyond cancer.
